Meanwhile, Hongda has also established strategic partnership with BSIET,  Anshan Design Institute, Changsha Design Institute, SDM and SDRT. As an answer to the pressure of environment protection requirements for iron and steel industry to save energy and reduce emission, Hongda successfully developed a complete set of energy-saving and environment-friendly travelling grate &rotary kiln pellet equipment, which is recognized as Jiangsu Province high-tech product with more than thirty national patents. It was awarded Second Prize of China Mechanical Industry Science and Technology Advance Award, First Prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Advance in May 2008, and Second Prize of National Science and Technology Advance Award in 2009. Hongda’s equipment is widely used in more than seventy large- and medium-size steel plants such as Baowu Steel, Anshan Steel, Capital Steel, Sha Steel, Liuzhou Steel, Taiyuan Steel, etc., and enters into international markets such as India, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Algeria, Australia, Vietnam, etc., enjoying 90% domestic market share and number one pellet engineering contractor in India. Hongda was able to compete with American METSO  and won the contract for Bao Steel’s 5MT/Y capacity travelling grate, then the biggest in Asia in 2008, which means big technical advancement and great contribution to the accomplishment of the national goal known as 20% reduction of energy consumption and 10% reduction of emission in iron and steel industry.
